The floor length gown has a skirt of multi-colored wavy horizontal bands separated by metallic silver embroidery. It is topped by a pink charmeuse fitted wrap-over bodice with beaded epaulets. The crowning glory is a beaded tiara with delicate embroidery. Accessories include beaded tiara and belt, pearl stud earrings, nude hose, hairnet and peep toe sling back wine heels. Wrist tag, stand and original mailer are included. The doll has never been removed from the box or displayed. Theatre de la Mode was a collection of 27 mannequins dressed by French couturiers following World War II to promote their industry following the war. The originals collection is housed at the Maryhill Museum of Art in Goldendale, Washington. Robert Tonner has meticulously reproduced the original costumes for his Tyler Wentworth doll line.
