There have been several releases of Wizard of Oz dolls by Mattel since the first series in 1994. But the 2006 series is the only one to include the Winkie Guard and Winged Monkey. This doll is so well designed and is of such high quality that it has remained the most sought after of all the Mattel Wizard of Oz dolls, by far. The green faced (Ken) Winkie Guard is beautifully executed in a highly detailed blue coat, pants, gloves, and boots, with red accents.
He carries the iconic red and silver staff. The fur hat and fur trim on the coat add to the authentic presentation of the doll.
The Winged Monkey looks like it could fly right out of the box. I bought two, and will save one for a granddaughter. This doll has never been removed from the box, and the condition of the box is near mint as shown in above pictures.
